About

Homeschooling High Schoolers was founded in 2005 by Mike, a then 17 year old high school junior who wanted to test his coding skills by creating a site. The original site was found here . Since then, Homeschooling High Schoolers has acquired its own domain and is now a bigger community than ever before. Being a graduated homeschooler, I still take pride in this site and still like to help fellow homeschoolers as they make the journey through homeschooling in high school.

If you are worried that you won't be able to get in college because you're homeschooled, don't be. I was homeschooled by my mother for 13 years and was admitted--with distinction--to the college of my choice. I have since completed my freshman year of college and am on the Dean's List. I am an example of why homeschooling through high school works.

Homeschooling was such a positive experience for me. Not only was I given a top-notch education, but I was also able to establish a bond with my family--and specifically my mom--that I do not think I could have had without homeschooling. I truly believe that my homeschooling background is one of the main reasons for my success in college and beyond.

If I could give one piece of advice to homeschoolers, it would be to seek out other opinions when you need them. I know I asked plenty of questions when I had them, and thanks to other amazing homeschoolers, I was able to get my questions answered. My hope is that with this forum, you will be able to ask any questions you have about homeschooling through high school, and you will get them answered.

Even though I have graduated from homeschool, I still remain an active part of this community. I have a lot of experience and I hope to share it with as many people as possible. I hope to see you on the forums and blogging!
